In January, the delivery of the new digital system controllers K&F CD 44 and K&F CD 24 began. With their novel Sense Technology, these controllers offer optimal system protection and performance for nearly all types of K&F speakers while providing highest audio quality. At the end of March at the Prolight + Sound, the option ‘Installation’ was introduced for the passive models CA 1201, CA 1215, CA 1515, and Line 212. The harmonious appearance of the systems increases the architectural integration in fixed installations. We were able to finalise the distribution contract for the “Market of the Future: India” with the renowned company Rivera International. Some examples of numerous outstanding national and international projects where Kling & Freitag systems were recently used are mentioned here: The Stuttgart Opera House, The Lower Saxony State Theatre’s Hanover Opera House, The Stages of the City of Gera – The Large House, The Festival House of the Bayreuth Festival, The New Mozarteum in Salzburg, The Festival House Bregenz. In the year of the pig, Kling & Freitag systems will be installed into the fourth stadium project in China. The football matches of the 2008 Olympic Games will take place in the Shenyang Olympic Sports Center seating 60,000 spectators. The “SINUS Systems Integration Award” for the category “Entertainment” went to our trade partner Audio Werft from Hildesheim. In a former church building, a unique event and noble gastronomic business “Glückundseligkeit” (Bliss and Blessedness) was established; in these hallowed halls, various Kling & Freitag systems were successfully integrated.

At the same leading trade fair, the OPUS German Stage Prize 2006 was presented to Engineering Professor Wolfgang Fritz, normally of the Vienna State Opera. He was honoured for outstanding sound design for the project Bregenz Open Acoustics (BOA) Wave Field Synthesis, for which over 800 K&F speakers were installed. Beginning at the end of the Summer 2006, both new digital controllers CD 24 and CD 44 will be delivered, then replacing all previous analogue K&F system controllers.
